Mr. Mu Rongping received his B.S. in physics and M. S. from University of Science and Technology of China, and his Dr. Phil. degree in Institute of Science, Philosophy and history of technology from Technical University Berlin of Germany. He is Chair Research Fellow at Faculty of Business for Science and Technology of the University of Science and Technology of China. He is the Honorary President of China Association for Sciences of Science and S&T Policy Research, the Chairman of the CAST UN Consultative Committee on Science Diplomacy, the council member of United Nations University, the Board member of The International Network for Governmental Science Advice (INGSA).
Dr. Mu has more than 30 years research experiences in the fields S&T and Innovation Development Policy, Technology Foresight, International Competitiveness of Hi-tech Industry. He is the editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Science Research Management, and the Journal of Innovation and Development Policy. He was director-general of the Institute of Policy and Management of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the Dean of the School of Public Policy and Management of University of CAS. He was a member of Economic and Scientific Advisory Boardof European Patent Office, and the Governing Boardof International S&T and Innovation Centre for South-South Cooperation under the Auspices of UNESCO (ISTIC).
